Do we put everything into *NEAT LITTLE BOXES?* lIKE COLOUR? RACE? GENDER?.. Who owns the media? and why is it allowed to happen?
A few examples of the way the minority are treated in todays society, do people care enough about how topics are handled? You know, i think they do, but don’t know how to change things, i know i wouldn’t know where to start..
Did you know that over 1/3 of the American population has Ethnic backgrounds, and are they properly considered in what is called *THE NORM* Take the African/American for example..are their rights observed properly, are their problems tackled head on or pushed to the back burner? I have mostly only heard about them if there is a problem with them, like crime, including robbery, rape, gangs and this sort of thing.
When the media is owned by the select few, how can we as an imprtant part of any society ever expect to be heard..action by the governments and i mean all of them need to address and put right the unfairness and maybe even have a grant for the unheard population to become an active, integral part of a people going forward, not backward..

Prior to watching this video, I had heard that there were secret oil reserves – not ANWR – in Alaska that had the potential of handling America’s oil problem. This video lays it all out quite clearly from someone who was in the board rooms of the corporations involved. Now, I am not an advocate of fossil fuels as our sole means of providing energy BUT the oil fields noted in this gentleman’s talk COULD provide a much needed buffer zone as we transition into a new energy paradigm. I recommend taking the time to watch this talk. Its important to us all. I’ll have more to say about it later…

Have you thought about *EARTH DAY* and what you can do right now to help the environment? There is a saying… “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.” This is very true and sometimes we think we are doing just that – helping our Earth to survive – but is it enough? Procrastination is a big problem, as is thinking, “The little I can do will be of no help.” But that just isn’t so… that one appliance unplugged, the dripping tap fixed, the trash sorted into recyclable and compost… these few things can help toward creating a better world and make it a safe and beautiful legacy for our children.
